This is my all time favorite watch. I have owned one since about 1995, having special ordered it from AAFES. I recently misplaced it and thought I would never find another, but low and behold, they are still available for much less than the $80 I originally paid. This watch has a built in remote and lots of preprogrammed TV settings. -A blast when you are at a bar or restaurant when you have had enough of the channel they picked or want the volume up or down. If you have the remote for the device you want, you can "learn" anything and program it to any button. Mute is a good one to program, or any VCR functions fwd, rev, rec, stop, etc. Only drawback is that there is no backlight. Batteries last about 2 years under typical use. I am happy to report that my misplaced watch turned up, so now I have a spare! The original band lasted about a year, then I put a Speidel "speido-flex" band on it and it is much more comfortable (less sweat). Get one and have fun!

Watch was pretty easy to setup but you have to point at the tv just right for it to work. Also, not enough choices for cable boxes. Needs a back light. In this day and age, for this watch not to be backlit is pretty odd

I brought this for my son. He loved it! He uses the TV remote function to trick family members when they were watching TV. He turned down the volume or turned the channel. They couldn't figure what was happening.

The calculator was fun as well.

NOTE: This review is for the Chili and Lime Flavor Popchip. Amazon had a separate page for it but then merged the product and its reviews into one.

It's hard to objectively review food since everyone's palate and tastes are different. So what I can say about this particular Popchip flavor that should be useful for most folks out there is that it doesn't really taste like Chili and Lime you're "probably" expecting. The Chili and Lime most folks probably are expecting if they grew up on Frito Lay products is very sharp and sweet (and of course artificial) - but it's what we liked if we ate more than a bag.

The best way I can describe this flavor is that it has a "tomato" like taste to it with a somewhat tangy sour note that is suppose to be the lime component. Together they turn into an odd combination that registers other flavors in your mind than Chili and Lime - at least it did to me and others who tasted it with me. If you eat the skin of a green bell pepper, you can kind of get at what Popchips were trying to do with the Chili taste on this version, but I have no idea how some sour salt can be akin to lime. For myself personally, I thought it tasted like "Tomato and Basil" you would find on Pita chip flavors and baked snacks.

Whether or not you agree with my above description of the flavor, I would highly suggest you try to get this in a sample pack and try it out first. BBQ + Salt & Vinegar Popchips are still my staples for now.

I bought this engraver to mark all of my tools with serial numbers and my name. On the very first tool, after engraving the serial number, the diamond tip began to loosen and slip out. I reached for the included little wrench with a standard screwdriver tip on one end to tighten the set screw that holds the diamond tip in the tool. I tried to use the screwdriver tip to tighten the slotted set screw and quickly discovered that the provided tool was too thick to fit into the groove in the set screw. I was a little miffed, but just walked over to a benchtop polishing wheel to remove a small amount of steel from the tool so that it would fit in the screw for which it was made. When I returned to the engraver to tighten the set screw the tool fit perfectly, and with one turn the screw, all the threads stripped out of the tool, not off the set screw. The set screw is just fine, but the metal that was threaded for it to go into is made of a metal so soft that it cannot withstand a single turn of the set screw that is essential to hold the diamond tip in place. I'm still rather incredulous that this tool would be made so poorly; perhaps they had a bad batch that got out on the market. If you already have one, with a soft metal housing for the diamond tip, you might wish to try some Locktite on the set screw and perhaps even the diamond tip where it contacts the soft metal housing. Be sure to take note of the different strengths of Locktite so that the bottle or tube you buy will be effective. My engraver will be going back, and I do not think I will be purchasing any more Dremel products in the near future.

From the description, I thought that this "industrial" engraver,"Dremel 290-05", would be more powerful than the Dremel 290-01. When I ordered it, I found that it was still just a 290-01. The only difference between it and the cheaper 290-01 was that it included several additional carbide tips and came from a different source ie there is no Dremel 290-05 tool. The
description was misleading.

This set of cordless phones is very good for VoIP users. I'm using Vonage and it only requires one phone jack. I have three add-on handsets. Also, since it's 5.8Ghz, it does not interfere with my home wireless 2.4Ghz network. There's a great speakerphone feature on each as well. I found this very useful and better than having to connect a headset to the phone. I also like the fact that each phone has its own caller ID log. I've never really tested the advertised distance capability of these phones but I've never had a problem with it within my 3 story house. The only CON about these phones and the reason I'm giving it a 4 instead of a 5 star, is because the quality isn't superb. Sometimes you can get some static but overall it's a great set of phones and beats the regular 900Mhz, 2.4 Ghz cordless phones.

I once had the expensive Siemens cordless system, but ditched those on Ebay b/c of the horrible ergonomics. If you picked up a phone call for another person, you couldn't just yell, 'pick up the phone' b/c the other units couldn't barge into an existing call. You'd have to remember the cumbersome process of call-forwarding.

Anyhow, the VTech system doesn't have such problems, so right off the bat I was encouraged. Out of all the great features this system offers, you cannot custom name each station. You are stuck w/ the default numbering. Thus if you want to transfer to, or page, another handset, you have to recall which phone is which number. What is more surpising is that older VTech system allowed custom-naming, according to tech support.

Contrary to a previous review, I didn't find the answering machine quality horribly poor, but it isn't stellar either. I can certainly live with it.

What I think isn't so hot is the general sound quality when on the phone. I would have thought that 5.8GHz would be the best I've ever had. On the other hand, phone lines only transmit a very poor quality sound; something like the equivalent to 11kHz mono (vs 44kHz stereo for compact disc music).

My only other complaint is the general crappy belt clips that snap onto cordless phones, including these. If you bend over & the phone is too far towards the front of your belt, the clip snaps off & the phone tumbles. Better design would be appreciated.
